Build 31. Engine Oil and Coolant

This is just a short post, mainly to remind me what Oil and Coolant was shipped as part of the kit, so it is easy for me to refer back when I need to change the liquids!

Oil wise, they advise putting 3L in the dry sump and 3L in the engine (to get started) but most tell me that it ends up being about 7L in total, mine ended up being about 7.2L to get the dry sump to the right level on the dip stick, I put 3L in the engine as advised and then topped up the Dry sump with 4.2L.

Coolant wise, add to the expansion tank until it fills to the required line, it may take quite a big of time to trickle through so be patient, I kept topping this up over the next few days as it would be empty each time I went in to the garage, I think I ended up with about 6L in mine, and had to order another bottler. Obviously check that it isn't leaking out of the bottom anywhere!!

Use the radiator bleed plug to remove any last bits of air from the system, and top up as appropriate.

It is also likely that once you have ran the car for a bit that you will need to top all these up again anyway.
